Dental Care

Can't remember when was my last dental appointment. Luck is not with me yesterday, got my back last tooth break while having my lunch. Firstly i tot its my tooth filling that came out. But after the lunch, i take out my mirror & found out its actually my tooth that breaks. :S

Hby say i need to extract the tooth as its already broken.. I'm scared to death as i'm afraid of pain. Stress & stress.. thinking what will happen if i extract the tooth. How painful it'll be & etc..

Hby & SIL suggest i go to AH rather than normal dentist as its a back tooth which is a rather sensitive area. Therefore, i took half a day off to visit the dentist at AH today. We're searching our way to the dental clinic & give up by seeking the information counter for help. The gentlemen is helpful enough to direct us there with polite tone.

The nurse told me for walk-in patients requires to wait for 1 - 3 hours. I got no choice but to wait. How luck i am to have a slot after about 20 - 30 minutes waiting time. So nervous when i walk in & when i saw the dentist.. A gentle lady asking for my name & NRIC.. thereafter i explain & told her the story of how i got my tooth break whom actually suggest not to extract my tooth but to mend / does a filling instead.

God bless.... i'm really relieve.. she actually checks all my tooth rather then just attend to that particular tooth. Her movements, voice & the way she comforts really makes patients having a less tense time there.

Finally, fillings done, glad that i do not have to extract that tooth. Dentist suggest i go back again 3 months later to check back if the filling is ok. If not, then she will think of other ways to help on that particular tooth instead of extracting out. Don't you feel great when you hear that ? Most important is the price is cheaper than what i pay to outside dentist. :D

After my visit to the dentist, we waited at the waiting area for the shuttle bus back. There we saw a man walking here & there almost coming towards us when the AH staff came up to us. The man walk away & the staff told us he is here to get $$ from we visitors. He explains to us & advice us not to give him $ as its not the first time he did it which the staff had already warned him many times.

Its not my first visit to AH, and i just love the caring of the staff to not only the patients but also the visitors.. wonder does it only applies to that gentleman or also from other staffs ?

No hard food for time being.. arghhh.. shall miss my belove "junk foods".................................
