Organizing a bbq is not easy, tough & tired. But helping with the bbq is even more tired. We wake up early around 9am & went to IMM with my sis-in-law to meet up with my hby's aunt. She is the organizer for this bbq. Initially was just to have a simple gathering for the elderly. It was den decided to also include a mini bday celebration for her daughter's upcoming bday.
We reach IMM around 10 plus & decided to head for our breakfast while we're waiting for his aunt. After some discussion & price comparison, we decided to hv our breakfast at swenson. The waiting time is really long. Maybe shorthanded ? maybe too many customers ? well, but it was really really really really long.. we waited for our food for about half hr before the food was serve.. drinks came late too while we're waiting for the food. Food was serve by type & not by table.. :S .. not sure what kind of arrangement they have. We can see customers who came later than us whose food was served before us.. :S
After our breakfast, we start shopping for food.. strolling, searching, choosing, decision making & right up to paying. Thats the time where we knew that it cost so much.. erm.. about a hundred plus.. but still cheaper than we arrange a dinner i guess.
Brought back the food, dedicating the jobs. Cleans the bbq stove, placing the papers / food / drinks .. start the hot plate.. choose which to cook, what to put & how to keep the food cook but not burnt.. phew.. its so much stressful / tougher when u see the elderly came earlier than expected which we've to rush out the dishes to avoid the extension of their waiting time.. Luckily, we still have some cooked food from the bday gal's bf ( whose a chef !! ) .. hahaha but only cooking the fried beehoon / soup & salad.. mm.. good enough lah.
Ending our dish with the cake.. got it from swenson, lucky everyone likes it.. too bad its icecream cake as it melts very fast.. so have to cut it fast too :P.. yummy yummy !!
Clearing up is our last job.. =.= ''' thats another tough job.. plus making the place back to its normal in order to get back the deposit which aunt had given for the booking.. Sweating away with sticky & tired body, luckily we've got free driver to drive us back.. ^o^ !!
